Birthday Party
Information
We’re looking forward to welcoming you into the woods for a birthday adventure soon. Before we do so, there are some important things you need to know:
Consent Forms
It is essential that an online consent form is completed for each child participant, by midday on the Thursday before the party at the latest.
Location
Hidden Woods is located south of Bath, just off the A36. The postcode for our entrance gate is BA2 7NH or you can find us by searching for 'Hidden Woods' on Google Maps. You can access a map and directions below.
Timings
Please see the timings on your invitation. The start time is when we intend to start with our briefing - please arrive up to 15 minutes before that time. It’s important that you arrive by the start time, so that everyone is there for the initial welcome and safety brief.
What’s Involved
We’ll be outside in the woods, based at our magical purpose-built camp and getting hands on with lots of fun and engaging activities like building dens, crafting, playing games and perhaps even toasting a marshmallow on the camp fire!
Supervision
For children aged 8 or over, we encourage parents/carers to drop and go, unless you have arranged otherwise with the party organiser (e.g. you are needed to help with the supervision ratios, or your child needs a little extra support).
For children aged 7 and under, we require an adult to remain in the woods to supervise them throughout the party. One adult can supervise up to two children and they don't have to be their own children. Please note that we ask that no more than one adult remains for each child, to prevent the group becoming too large and adult-heavy! We include all children other than non-walking infants in the party numbers, so unless previously agreed with the party organiser, please do not bring other siblings to the event.
Weather
As a wise woodsman once said, there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing! Our sessions will go ahead in all but the most extreme weathers, so if it’s just a bit drizzly or windy on the day please dress for the occasion and come on down! We have a really large shelter over our fire pit area (think marquee roof suspended between trees) and can put up more shelters if required.
